News 2006-07-13 Recommended Security Guidelines for Airport Planning, Design and Construction
The original 2001 manual, called by TSA "The Bible of security design", has now been updated by a joint industry/TSA working group of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee, with TranSecure leadership in writing and editing major portions of the new text. The new version is almost 50% larger than before, with new chapters on screening checkpoints, in-line baggage systems, expanded information on access controls, CCTV and biometrics; fences and barriers, bio-chem, the new FIS/CBP guidelines, and a great deal more. The new 6.5MB document is available for download Here. The manual is designed as an "e-document", full of internal links among related subject matter and links to literally dozens of external guidance documents and web sites. |
